The city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, will be holding a Peony Festival in its Arboretum, Feb 10 to March 5, with more than 1,500 pots of peonies in 40 different species on display, among which the most expensive one is the Yaohuang, the queen of peonies, worth around 100,000 yuan ($16,000), news.iyaxin.com has reported.

The peony is renowned as the queen of flowers and symbolizes prosperity, happiness, and good luck in Chinese culture. People will have a chance to admire them —if they spend 10 yuan during the festival.
